Accuracy & QC methodology
Wing Walker collects on DJI M350/M400 RTK platforms with the onboard RTK module active, tagging every exposure and LiDAR trajectory point with real-time-corrected positions and confirming a fixed (not float) link before collection. A survey-grade GNSS receiver pulls network RTK corrections from the Washington State Reference Network and area CORS stations, anchoring the dataset to a published control framework. Ground control points span the site — perimeter and interior — with a subset held out as independent checkpoints; reported accuracy (RMSEz and horizontal RMSE) is computed against those checkpoints and the DJI Terra quality report rather than assumed from sensor specs. Work is reconciled to a documented house datum — NAD83(HARN) horizontal (EPSG:2927) and NAVD88 vertical — with realization mismatches checked as a documented QC step. Point clouds process in DJI Terra and deliver via NIRA 3D with the quality report attached, so the licensed prime can verify against their own control.
