Accuracy & QC methodology
All mapping missions fly on a DJI Matrice 4E RTK receiving live network RTK corrections via NTRIP, with PPK logging retained as a fallback when the correction service degrades. Survey-grade projects get ground control established by a licensed Texas surveyor — five or more GCPs distributed across the site plus at least three checkpoints held out of the bundle adjustment — tied to NAD83 Texas Central and NAVD 88 with the current geoid model. Flights plan at 75%+ forward and side overlap with supplemental oblique or crosshatch passes on vertical structures, holding GSD at or below 0.5 inch per pixel. Target accuracy on controlled projects is horizontal RMSE ≤ 0.10 ft and vertical RMSE ≤ 0.15 ft, verified against the withheld checkpoints. Every survey-grade deliverable ships with an accuracy report listing checkpoint residuals, control coordinates, and the coordinate system and geoid used; RTK-only projects are labeled as relative-accuracy products.
